       The Shape of Water is a romantic fantasy drama set during the Cold War era in 1960s America.It follows Elisa, a mute woman who works as a cleaning lady at a high-security government laboratory.One day, she discovers a mysterious amphibious creature that has been captured from a South American river and is being held for experimentation. As Elisa secretly forms a bond with the creature, she learns that the government plans to dissect and destroy it. Driven by empathy and love, Elisa devises a daring plan to rescue him. Though they cannot speak the same language, a deep emotional connection grows between them—showing that true love can transcend words, appearances, and even species.
