Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children is a fantasy adventure film
directed by Tim Burton, based on the novel by Ransom Riggs. The story follows
Jacob "Jake" Portman, a teenager who grows up hearing mysterious
stories from his grandfather about a secret home for children with peculiar
abilities. After his grandfather’s sudden death, Jake travels to a remote
island in Wales, where he discovers the magical Miss Peregrine, who cares for
children with extraordinary powers—like invisibility, levitation, and fire
control. The home exists in a time loop, repeating the same day over and over
to stay hidden from dangerous monsters known as Hollows. Jake learns that he
too has a special gift and must choose whether to return to his ordinary life
or fight alongside the peculiar children to protect their magical world.
