Spider-Man:
Homecoming is a standalone film about Spider-Man within the Marvel Cinematic
Universe. The story focuses on his high school life, taking place after the
events of Captain America: Civil War. Following his involvement in the conflict
between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark — which ultimately divided the Avengers —
Peter Parker, our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, tries to return to his
normal life as an ordinary high school student while also taking on the
responsibilities of a superhero. However, balancing these two worlds proves to
be far from easy — just as the famous saying goes: “With great power comes
great responsibility.”
