The
story follows Victor, a young man arranged to marry a bride chosen by his
parents — a woman he has never met. Nervous and uncertain, he fumbles his
wedding vows during the rehearsal and is rejected by his fiancée’s family.
Distraught, Victor wanders into a dark forest to practice his vows alone. There,
he unknowingly places the wedding ring on the finger of a corpse, believing it
to be part of his rehearsal. To his shock, the corpse bride awakens from her
grave and claims him as her husband, drawing Victor into a strange and haunting
world between life and death.
