ผมดื่มกาแฟแล้วเกิดอารมณ์อยากเดินทาง หรือคิดเรื่องเดินทางบ่อย ๆ 

 ตื่นเช้าวันไหนไม่มีเรื่องสำคัญอื่นให้คิด ผมรินกาแฟดื่มด่ำรสของมัน แล้วสมองกับหัวใจโบยบินไปไหนต่อไหน... ไปถึงใครคนหนึ่ง

 ตามหมู่บ้านสักแห่ง ถึงสีสันอันสวยงามของดอกมังคเล บางทีคิดถึงดวงตาใสซื่อของเด็กน้อย คิดถึงความซุ่มซ่ามและไม่รอบคอบ

 ของตัวเองในการเดินทางครั้งหลังสุด และหลายครั้งไม่ได้คิดถึงอะไร แค่หยิบภาพบันทึกของการเดินทางมาพลิกดู 

 โดยส่วนตัวเห็นว่าการเดินทางกับกาแฟมันคล้ายกันอยู่ตรงเมื่อดื่มกาแฟแล้วติดอกติดใจไม่คิดเลิกรา เป็นความสุขแบบพิเศษและ

 เป็นส่วนตัวยิ่งนัก

When I drink coffee, I often feel an urge to travel, or find myself thinking about journeys again and again. On mornings when there’s nothing pressing on my mind, I pour a cup of coffee, savor its flavor, and let my mind and heart drift freely… drifting toward someone, somewhere in a small village; toward the vivid beauty of blooming mangosteen flowers; sometimes toward the innocent eyes of a child; sometimes toward my own clumsiness and lack of caution on my most recent trip.

 

 And many times, I don’t think of anything at all—I simply pick up my travel photographs and leaf through them slowly. Personally, I feel that travel and coffee are quite alike: once you taste them and they settle deep within you, you never really want to let them go. They offer a special kind of happiness—quiet, intimate, and deeply personal.
