A journey of nearly ten days, escaping everyday life to the Amazon and Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, felt like a dream—doing what I had always dreamed of, to the point that it was hard to believe it was real. The calm, quiet world beneath the water, surrounded by schools of fish, was a perfect remedy for a weary and sorrowful mind. I let my body go, and let my thoughts drift with the current.
Ipanema Beach, long and sweeping, resembles Bangsaen Beach, but with far more vitality—women in bikinis showing off their curves, men riding the waves on surfboards, life brimming with energy.
