I tried to record everything I saw through photographs and written words—at the very least, to weave together my own memories before they slowly faded with time. Stories of New York, Washington, D.C., Tokyo, and Osaka, drawn from my personal experiences and impressions, were first published in installments in Nation Weekend magazine. They were later refined, expanded, and polished, eventually becoming this book.
