After the cats of Sra Pathum Palace showcased their flair and told their own stories in the book Living in Sra Pathum Palace, which became widely popular, the other animals—large and small, land animals, aquatic creatures, and birds living in the palace—were far from pleased. They grumbled noisily, complaining that the cats had taken all the spotlight to tell only their own tales. The situation nearly escalated into a battle within the palace.
As a result, a new book, We’d Like to Tell Our Stories Too: Living in Sra Pathum Palace 2, was created to give other animals of Sra Pathum Palace a chance to share their stories as they wished—such as Grandpa the giant snakehead fish, the coconut tree snake, and Nong Lamun Lamai, the newest royal pet dog. And of course, indispensable to the narrative are the royal virtues and gracious conduct of the beloved and deeply revered owner of the palace, whom all the animals adore.
