เนื้อเรื่องจะเป็นการเล่าเรื่องผี หรือเหตุการณ์อะไร แปลกๆ แต่ฉันคิดว่าผู้อ่านจะมองเห็นภาพแห่งอดีตชีวิตของครอบครัวแม่ ซึ่งเป็นคนชั้นกลางในกรุงเทพฯ สมัย 80 ปีที่แล้วได้บ้างไม่มากก็น้อย อีกทั้งยังเกี่ยวเนื่องกับเรื่องราวข้างๆวัง ซึ่งแม่ได้ทำงานรับใช้สนองเบื้องพระยุคลบาทมาไม่น้อยกว่า 60 ปี
The story is told through ghost tales or strange, uncanny events, but I believe readers will be able to glimpse, to some extent, the past life of my mother’s family, who belonged to the middle class in Bangkok some eighty years ago. It is also connected to stories from the areas around the palace, where my mother served in attendance to the royal household for no less than sixty years.
