The corpus callosum is a part of the mammalian brain, located in the center, where it connects the left and right hemispheres. Women generally have a larger corpus callosum than men, which allows them to do multiple things at the same time. Men’s brains, on the other hand, tend to focus more on their surroundings. Try observing it yourself—men often can’t talk on the phone while watching a TV drama at the same time, whereas women can do so with ease, even while painting their nails.

Not only that, this part of the brain is directly related to language skills. The larger it is, the better one tends to be at languages. That’s why women often enjoy studying literature or languages. But when it comes to reading maps, men usually have the advantage. These differences are simply a natural part of being human. Many other differences between men and women are also partly due to this very “Mr. Corpus Callosum.”
